CHILDREN WHO ATTEND THE COVEY CHILDCARE (NURSERY OR PRE-SCHOOL) WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO EXPERIENCE STIMULATIVE, CREATIVE, EXPLORATIVE, IMAGINATIVE, FUN, PLAY DEVELOPING SOCIAL AND SELF HELP SKILLS INTERACTING RESPECTFULLY AND POSITIVELY WITH THEIR PEERS AND STAFF IN A SAFE, SECURE ENVIRONMENT, GIVING EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES TO ALL CHILDREN.

 NURSERY/PRE-SCHOOL STAFF

The Covey employs staff to work with and alongside children including those with Special Educational Needs offering a Keyworker and 1-1 assistance, should it be required.

The level of staff being 1:3 Babies, 1:4 Toddlers and 1:8 pre-school children, the staff being qualified (Diploma in Nursery/Pre-school Practice, NNEB or BTEC). The Covey employing appropriate staffing levels. All staff are encouraged to attend training and workshops to further skills in a variety of areas including curriculum and Special Educational Needs.

 SESSIONS

Joining a Nursery/Pre-school is a major step for you and your child, so a happy introduction is most important.

The AIM of The Covey will be to provide a friendly, stimulating environment, encouraging explorative, constructional free play for your child. You will be most welcome to stay with your child until he/she settles.
