The Covey Childcare Ltd

About Us

Pre-school

The Covey was opened in 1993 by Sheila Partridge (Managing Director) as somewhere to take her daughter Luisa, as there were no other pre-schools in the area at the time. In the beginning, the Covey was situated in the North Avon Sports and Social Club, operating three mornings a week. It was so successful, Sheila decided she needed her own premises and moved the pre-school to where we are now in Baileys Court, where she continued her success.

In 2003 the premises above the hairdressers became available, and Sheila decided that it would be beneficial to the community if she opened a Nursery for Babies up to 2 years.

Sheila now has all her family working with her, Nigel, her husband, dealing with the financial aspect of the business, Victoria, her daughter, managing the administration and Luisa, currently training to become a Nursery Nurse at the Covey.
