The Baby Area is a safe, stimulative area, filled with educational, sensory and fun toys. The area is bright and attractive, encouraging children to learn through fun play and activities.
Jan Denford is the supervisor of the Baby Area, with over 10 years experience; she is highly knowledgeable when it comes to children, especially babies.
Jan, along with the other Nursery staff, work within the Baby Area on a weekly rotational basis, enabling children to get to know familiar faces and become comfortable with them. As the staff rotate between each area, the children are more confident when moving to a new area, as they will already be familiar with the staff there.
In the Baby Area each
child will have their own
box for nappies, spare
clothes and any other items
that are needed.
We ask you to provide nappies and milk (if formula)
but everything else we supply eg nappy bags,
wetwipes, sudocrem.
The children will move into the the Transition Area
when they are somewhere between the ages of 1 and
2 years, however, this is based on whether the child
is developmentally ready rather than age.
