SPECIAL NEEDS
The Nursery/Pre-school promotes the welfare and development of all children enabling a child with 'Needs' the opportunity to progress and develop independently with the benefit of adult support.
Sheila Partridge is the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator wherein a child is assessed upon admission offering Review Meetings to parents, remaining available to all Parents/Carers by appointment, working within the guidelines of the Code of Practice, preparing individual observations, Play Plans, working in partnership with South Glos Support Team with the sharing and receiving of information, meeting the individual needs of each child within the setting.

BEHAVIOUR
The Nursery/Pre-school promotes a positive behaviour management explaining acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. All individual needs are respected and children are encouraged to understand right from wrong.
A 'Time Out' policy is enforced if required with parental approval.

ADMISSIONS
The Covey Nursery/Pre-school is open to every family in the community. The Waiting List is not operated on a first come first served basis - names will be inserted in the Waiting List book and children will be admitted as soon as possible. 
REFRESHMENTS
Milk, Water, Biscuits, Fruit and Vegetables will be provided during the Nursery/Pre-school session. If there is a reason why your child is unable to enjoy the refreshments, please advise the Nursery/Pre-school as to the required dietary needs of your child.
